Repair the cause.
Respect the house.

From concealed damage to custom carpentry, we approach repairs with careful investigation, clear communication and the same craftsmanship we bring to new work.

Restoration begins underneath

Find the problem. Fix what's really wrong.

Old houses can hide surprises. Water-damaged fascia, compromised framing or a door opening that's shifted out of square rarely gets better when the visible symptom is simply covered up.

We investigate what we can see, explain what needs to come apart and document concealed conditions as they're uncovered. When the scope changes, the homeowner should understand the options before additional work proceeds.

Rot and exterior repairs

When patching isn't the right approach, plan a replacement with correct dimensions and a coordinated finish.

From worn-out stairs to a new beginning.

The old red stairs had reached the point where a planned rebuild made more sense than a cosmetic refresh. We used dimensioned SketchUp drawings to work out the replacement and document the construction.

What happens when we uncover more?

Clear communication, not surprises on the invoice.

Sometimes a repair exposes more damage than was visible at the outset. We document what we find, explain the impact on scope and cost, and discuss next steps rather than quietly pretending the conditions were always known.

Done right is better than done fast.
